North Korea Exploits; INISAFE Crossweb;Vulnerability:ProtectYourself Now!
Recently, it was discovered that North Korea perpetrated a hacking assault by taking advantage of the INISAFE Crossweb vulnerability, which is primarily used in South Korea.
What is INISAFE Crossweb?
A program called INISAFE Crossweb processes authorized certificates on financial websites like electronic finance and online shopping malls. The application is referred to as an earlier form of IniSafe CrosswebEX. In general, it is a program that is frequently used for dealing with certificates. It is automatically installed when a user accesses it, making it possible that the user may not be aware of the use, which raises concerns that the security patch may take some time to apply.
How to Protect Yourself
It is therefore highly advised that you update to the most recent version of the security software if you use it (INISAFE CrossWeb EX V3 3.3.2.41). You can obtain the most recent version by going to the website of the retailer or financial institution that accepted the program or by going to the Initech home page. Alternatively, if you are already using the program, see if the Control Panel in My Computer has the program loaded there; if not, delete it.
